A wedding registry is the perfect opportunity to get essential items for hosting. Some might already have plates and glasses prior to getting married, but all of the smaller accessories that go into hosting a holiday or throwing a party often get forgotten. From drink buckets to pitchers, glassware, charcuterie boards and more – these are the top wedding registry ideas to help you become the perfect host! These are my must-have hosting essentials.
Wedding Registry Ideas
1. Beverage Tub
This is one of the biggest items I see people miss on their wedding registry. To me, this is what separates a seasoned host from others. You don’t want guests going in and out of your refrigerator all night, hunting around for what’s available (chances are it’s a mess in there if your fridge is like mine). This drink bucket is the one we have. It is huge, comes in three finishes, and I recommend it to all of my friends! Fill with a bag of ice and load up the beverages you’re offering. This also allows you to see what you’re running low on, and need to replenish throughout the night!
2. Pitcher
This one is another item that often gets overlooked. If you think “I have never once made a pitcher drink, why would I need a pitcher?” you are not alone. I think people imagine a pitcher being solely for a cocktail or a fancy dinner. This has been used so many times in my house, simply for putting out filtered water! That being said, we have made many pitcher cocktails, homemade lemonade, and served other drinks from it.

3. Placemats
These rattan placemats are very versatile and timeless. We use them for all of our spring and summer gatherings! They match just about anything, and add a layer of texture and color to your table setting.
4. Monogram Stitched Napkins
This is a quintessential wedding registry item. Something with your new last initial on it, and perfect to have as a go-to linen set for your gatherings! If you prefer to use specific linens depending on the occasion, get these napkins in a cocktail size. They won’t get too messy if people are using them for their drinks, and they will be extra pretty for guests to have in hand!
5. Serving Plates
My absolute favorite line of serving plates and platters is the Marin line from Crate & Barrel. It holds up so well, is a neutral color, and organic looking. It is casual enough for everyday use, but pretty enough for a formal dinner. I recommend it to everyone!
6. Quality Wine Glasses
A good standard is to have three different wine glass options; stemless, stemmed white wine, and stemmed red wine. This is my favorite wine glass line I always get asked about!!
7. Boards
Wood, marble, glass, whatever you choose! You can use these for more than charcuterie. Appetizers, veggie boards, snack plates for a kids gathering… the options are endless, and in my opinion, you can never have too many!
8. Stirrers
Some might say they’re not necessary, but glass stirrers are a small accessory that are really nice to have! When you have a bar area, or drink options out for guests, it’s nice to have stirrers for guests to mix up their beverage. They add detail to the aesthetic as well!
